Aesculap Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization for development and cooperation at national and international level; we are independent and apolitical. Established in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1997, Aesculap Foundation works in Romania, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America to support and to promote sustainable development of health systems. We want to give our support to children, women and local communities in the fight against poverty and inequality.
In looking to achieve long-term integrated development, we choose to operate in areas with a high poverty index. For this, in working with local partners in various areas at the same time – health, education, food safety, children’s and women’s rights to health care , environmental sustainability and community engagement – we aim to lay solid foundations for real, long lasting community development.
Aesculap Foundation collaborates with a network of other civil-society organizations and companies to give to the most vulnerable people the help that they need. We are involved in the main networks protecting children’s and women’s rights as well as any other community in the fight against lack of qualified medical care, malnutrition and poverty.
Aesculap Foundation promotes a culture of mutual support, social commitment, and respect for human rights.
